Sodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose

Sodium-CarboxySodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose is a water-soluble polymer, which is derived from wood and cotton cellulose. This is done by introducing carboxymethyl groups on the cellulose backbone, wherein the formed anionic cellulose molecule hydrates and dissolves readily in water. Having the ability to impart viscosity to aqueous solutions, these can be refined to minimum 99.5% purity. These can have either thixotropic or non-thixotropic rheology.

Specifications:
Applications :
  • For toothpaste and oral care products manufacturers
  • Meet the requirements of carboxymethyl cellulose sodium for pharmaceutical use by USP/NF, Ph. Eur. and most other pharmacopoeias.
Specialty :
  • CEKOL 2000 meets the purity requirements for cellulose gum or sodium carboxy methyl cellulose, as prescribed by FAO/WHO, the European Union, the FDA and the Food Chemicals Codex.
  • Known for their excellent water retaining and film forming capacity.
  • It has the ability to achieve the desired rheology for any aqueous system, including suspensions and emulsions.
